Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Accounting Assistant, we'll count on you to:

  • Perform accounting functions such as accounts payables, project set up, and other related accounting functions to support our Project Accountants and Project Managers, Including:
    • Processing vendor invoices to the corporate finance and accounting group
    • Review and assist in processing Accounts Payable transactions for sub consultants
    • Manage corporate credit card transactions
    • Research and communicate release of subconsultant payments to corporate finance & accounting group
  • Monitor timesheet labor adjustments & Accounts Payable/Expense report adjustments
  • Review and answer questions as needed for employee expense reports relative to HDR travel & business expense policy & procedures
  • Perform specific and limited portions of a broader assignment
  • Do routine work and follow detailed instructions
  • Involve the use of computers to maintain financial records and accounting reports
  • Assist multiple project accountants and other staff daily
  • Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Strong attention to detail, manage multiple projects independently
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Flexibility and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and collaborate with various managers in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be self-motivated, well-organized, detail-oriented and able to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to properly handle sensitive and confidential information and work with a broad range of individuals throughout HDR
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
