Fab Assemblers assist in the sub-assembly by preparing and putting parts together that are put on the trucks.


Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:
* DA parts, removal of the sharp edges of parts/material
* Drill and prepare the rub rails
* Prep catwalks, steps, grab handles, etc.
* Prep ladder brackets, pike pole, and attic ladder
* Prep hose bed floor dividers
* Prep rear cab overlays
* Prep start storage assemblies
* Prep SCBA brackets
* Meet production goals
* Maintain a clean and safe work area
* Initiate process improvements when able
* Work in close proximity to customer, as needed
* Operate any equipment or tools needed to perform the job
* Assist other team members and departments as needed
* Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent experience
* Ability to use basic hand and power tools
* Ability to read and use a tape measure to precise measurements
* Ability to lift 75 pounds
* Ability to work in a team environment
* Ability to maintain attendance within company guidelines
* Ability to retain and apply instructions
* Positive attitude
* Work overtime on short notice
* Embrace change
* Basic computer skills
* Basic math skills; addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
* Must be detailed orientated
* Ability to read and understand truck specification documents
* Ability to communicate and understand in English
* Must be self-motivated
* Must be able to work with little to no supervision after two weeks
